Job Description

Position: FloaterReports to: Production SupervisorsGeneral Duties:

  • Ensuring continuous production by supplying the production team with materials in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicating verbally with production team on required types and quantities of egg packaging materials as well as communicating any problems with the supply.
  • Supplying the Packers with boxes, skids, boards, fillers, plastic, bags, baskets, etc., as needed.
  • Ensuring the mobile equipment is plugged in and charged each night
  • Printing tags when necessary
  • Completing the NAV consumption accurately
  • Supplying the cello operators with eggs
  • Ensuring established HACCP and bio security procedures are followed.
  • Keeping work area clean, tidy and free from hazards.
  • Assisting co-workers where and when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well with others, demonstrating politeness, respect, and courtesy in communications and daily interactions.
  • Must be able to work independently in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Must be able follow set standards and procedures, as well use good problem-solving skills to independently schedule work tasks and priorities.
  • Being able to provide clear, concise general instructions for team effectiveness and productivity requires proficient English skills.
  • Good coordination and dexterity is required for fast, effective and efficient movement, as well as operating mobile equipment.
  • This position requires constant mental effort in order to keep up with the demands of continuous, fast paced production.
  • Concentration is required when operating equipment to ensure care and diligence when handling product and to ensure the safety of self and others.
  • This position is encouraged to independently bring forth innovative ideas and suggestions to improve production and/or the work environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced production setting, operating moving equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
  • As this is a team environment, cooperation and unity amongst staff is essential. All employees must work well together and help each other wherever and whenever needed.
