Job Description

Studio Elan is seeking a dedicated, hardworking and experienced Hair and Makeup artist to join our team. Our studio provides services in 1 of 2 studios as well as mobile services.This position will require the incumbent to work early mornings and late afternoons and travel to client’s homes.Working as a makeup artist you may find yourself:

  • communicating with clients to clarify requirements
  • ensuring continuity in hair and makeup and liaising with other members of the team to ensure the overall look/effect is consistent and coherent
  • demonstrating a practical understanding of lighting, the photographic process, colours and make-up processes on the skin
  • hairdressing
  • maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of available make-up and beauty products
  • time management, knowing how long a client will take to be made-up
  • working quickly and accurately in time-pressured conditions
  • maintaining an up-to-date portfolio of work
Requirements:
  • Certification in hair and makeup program
  • Valid driver’s license and access to your own vehicle
  • Weekend availability
