Job Description

Retail Team MemberBirchwood Dairy is looking for a seasonal team member who is available on a part time basis (approximately 20 hours a week) that can work until the end of summer. This position will require working some weekends, and shift times and days may vary on a weekly basis. Shifts range between start times of 8:45am and end times of 8:30pm, depending on the season. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work at a fun, family owned and operated ice cream store!Whats in it for You

What will your day look like As a member of Birchwoods retail team, you will always be present in our store assisting our customers.Some of the tasks include:
  • Scooping ice cream
  • Making sandwiches and soups
  • Stocking shelves
  • Processing transactions
  • Sanitizing and cleaning protocols
  • Other daily tasks
Who is the ideal candidate The ideal candidate can multitask, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be able to perform under pressure when it gets to our busy season. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their position and supports the rest of our team:
  • You have great customer service skills
  • You have good written and oral communication
  • You are able to lift 25kg and meet the physical demands of the job
  • You are honest, trustworthy, and reliable
  • You are able to work with a team and follow instructions as needed
  • You have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Previous work in food handling is an asset, but not necessary
