Job Description

Support Worker - Lifeskills & EmploymentFraser Valley Brain Injury Association is a non-profit organization that supports people with acquired brain injuries and their families in the Langley to Boston Bar area of BC.Fraser Valley Brain Injury Assoc. is looking for an energetic, creative, flexible & organized professional for a part-time Support Worker for lifeskills and employment (10 -20 hours/week). Hours are flexible based on needs of client and worker availability.Duties include one to one life skills and/or employment training and coaching for people with acquired brain injuries in the community along with workshops/groups covering a range of topics pertinent to independence, healthy living, and goal achievement.The position will require driving throughout the Fraser Valley to meet with clients. Main office is in Abbotsford but can be based out of workers home. Services may be in the communities of Langley, Aldergrove, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Agassiz, Hope or Boston Bar. Mileage is reimbursed.Minimum post secondary education in social sciences or related field plus 2 years related experience working with people with disabilities, mental health issues and/or brain injury preferred.Must be able to provide a recent criminal record check for working with children and vulnerable adults. Must be able to provide own vehicle and home office.Deadline: Submit resume by September 30, 2022Job Types: Part-time, PermanentSalary: $21.00-$22.00 per hourBenefits:
