Someone who is diligent with a strong attention to detail. As the Maintenance Technician you will be accountable for the facilities; ensuring the packaging systems and equipment are operating safely, and in compliance pursuant to safety regulations and company operating standards.What you will be doing:

• Contributing to projects to improve efficiency using automation.
• Managing activities on different computer systems such as CMMS.
• Working with our Food Safety and Sanitation teams to ensure all automated equipment is meeting regulatory standards.
• Performing preventive/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals.
• Training new hires according to a training plan for machine operation.
• Conducting machine calibration and run-to-failure maintenance activities.
• Troubleshooting and working along with Production for alternatives under downtime.
• Maintaining and repairing distribution center racking, walkies, power trucks, dock doors and performing repairs in the facility for a clean and steady operation.
• Inspecting facility on a periodic interval for damage, fire extinguishers and exits to maintain our regulatory compliance and perform repairs as required.
• Assisting and supporting facilities and maintenance projects, programs and initiatives.
• Maintaining and storing department inventory, including Spare parts, Tools, Hardware and keeping records documented.
• Practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety.
• Responsible for practicing and adhering to HelloFresh as well as Chefs Plate policies and best practices.

At a minimum, you have:

• Post-secondary Education in Mechanical, Electronics or Electrical Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of Facilities Maintenance experience and at least one year experience in a food processing/ packing environment
• Skilled in using basic hand tools, power tools and measuring tools
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 44 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, afternoon shift, graveyard shift and holiday work, as required.
• Must be willing and able to handle exposure to the room temperature ranging from freezing to sub-freezing (coolers, freezers, etc.) with or without accommodation.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Calendar,Gmail,Docs,Sheets) and video conferencing (Hangouts Meet).
