Job Description

We currently have an opening for a full-time permanent Quality Process Engineer position.Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, as a Quality Process Engineer you are responsible to evaluate, monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs as necessary to maximize safety, efficiency, effectiveness, and workflow.In this role your duties will include the following:

  • Develop and implement quality standards and quality control systems;
  • Determine key organizational quality metrics and analyze quality trends;
  • Collaborate with operations managers to review and revise quality documents; procedures, work instruction and forms to ensure a safe, efficient, standardized, and practical workflow;
  • Develop new and amend current processes to support Conair’s operational requirements;
  • Ensure workflows, processes, and products comply with safety and regulatory regulations;
  • Perform audits and validate systems, establish critical processes, and prepare reports for performance, and possible improvements;
  • Identify the root of technical issues and recommend fixes;
  • Set priorities based on operational requirements and risks associated;
  • Assist in strategic planning to identify key areas to improve quality and productivity;
  • Acquire feedback on the developed or amended processes for continuous improvement;
  • Provide guidance and training on quality processes;
  • Support make or buy decision as well as acquisition and implementation of new equipment;
  • Provide back-up assistance for auditors in audit planning, execution, follow-up, at all Conair operating locations as well as at vendor and contracted maintenance facilities;
  • Initiate, support and participate in continuous improvement activities and projects as assigned.
We are looking for someone with:
  • In-depth understanding of technical documentation preferably related to aviation maintenance and production;
  • Exceptional ability to clearly and effectively express information and ideas in English, both verbally and in writing;
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated ability to act ethically and with professionalism in the face of adversity;
  • Strong team player and good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to interact and clearly communicate both internal and external.Should be able to explain processes, listen to concerns, and provide practical solutions to such problems;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Training/Education:
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Engineering or similar role working within a company with high standard Quality Management System preferable in the Aviation Industry;
  • Bachelor Degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred;
  • P.Eng. and/or additional certification in Quality Assurance is an asset.
