Job Description

Position Title: Relationship ManagerReports To: Senior Grower Relations/Production ManagerLocation: AbbotsfordAbout SunriseCarleton Hatcheries (Sunrise Hatcheries) is a division of Sunrise Farms, one of the largest chicken processors in Canada, with facilities in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Our team of employees are experienced, dedicated, and exceptional at delivering quality products from farm to table.Job SummaryWe have a great opportunity for a Relationship Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for planning the live production needs for broilers and turkeys. This position will work collaboratively with growers (poultry farms) to set production levels to meet the needs of the business within the allocations set by marketing boards. They are responsible for planning and implementing best practices and procedures, while following all company policies and procedures. They are responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with chicken and turkey growers and to promote Sunrise Farms within the grower communities.Key Responsibilities· Work closely with our growers to efficiently manage farm issues, including pricing, delivery, damage, mortality, and other issues as they arise· Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with our growers and producers, establishing trust and maintaining strong, open lines of communication· Establish and manage vendor relationships, collaborating with internal stakeholders to investigate and evaluate potential alternatives for meeting business goals· Coordinate and participate in the negotiation of new contracts· Stay current and provide information on trends and practices in the industry, including understanding future potential needs and solutions· Manage the scheduling of live production for processing plants and hatcheries· Ensure farm safety procedures are followed· Maintain quality control and production recordsRequirements: · Previous agricultural / poultry industry experience is an asset· Post-secondary education preferred· Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain strong, trusting relationships· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal· Ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions· High levels of integrity and diplomacy· Proactive self-starter who delivers results while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment· Excellent analytical & organizational skills· Strong time management skills· Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and OutlookSalary$60,000.00 to $70,000.00Benefits: · Company Car· Dental care· Extended Health Care· Life insurance· Vision CareWe thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those who are selected for interviews will be contacted.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
