DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties and responsibilities for the Loader/Stackers are as follows:Ensuring continuous production by removing stacks of eggs from pallets and placing on the pre-loader.Communicating verbally on order progress and producer changes as well as communicating any problems with the production line.Unloading the production belt of finished product and separating onto pallets.Supplying the Packers with empty containers for continuous packing.Operating the forklift or pallet jack to remove completed skids from line and take to cooler.Loading and unloading the tray washer and wash baskets.Keeping work area tidy and clean.Assisting co-workers where and when required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Frequent and heavy lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling is a requirement for these positions. The successful candidates must be able to lift up to 60 lbs., carry from 30 lbs., and push/pull from 60-640 lbs. (assisted with equipment). Position requires the ability to stand and walk for long hours as well as the ability to climb and bend intermittently throughout the day.QUALIFICATIONS:Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well with others, demonstrating politeness, respect, and courtesy in communications and daily interactions.Must be able to work independently in a timely and efficient manner.Must be able follow set standards and procedures, as well use good problem-solving skills to independently schedule work tasks and priorities.Being able to provide clear, concise general instructions for team effectiveness and productivity requires proficient English skills.Good coordination and dexterity is required for fast, effective and efficient movement, as well as operating mobile equipment.This position requires constant mental effort in order to keep up with the demands of continuous, fast paced production.Concentration is required when operating equipment to ensure care and diligence when handling product and to ensure the safety of self and others.This position is encouraged to independently bring forth innovative ideas and suggestions to improve production and/or the work environment.Experience in a fast-paced production setting, operating moving equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.As this is a team environment, cooperation and unity amongst staff is essential.
