This is an excellent leadership opportunity to contribute to our vision of equitable and inclusive elementary schools. As an Elementary Vice Principal, your leadership in the classroom and in the school is key to building compassionate and brave learning spaces and ensuring that children master literacy and numeracy, and joyfully explore the curriculum.We are seeking an exemplary educator who understands the healthy development of the whole child and has a clear personal commitment to meaningful learning experiences, equitable opportunities, and culturally safe environments. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with students, families, and staff based on sound and supportive instructional leadership practice.QualificationsA Master’s degree in Educational Administration, Curriculum, Diverse Learners or related discipline (or in progress)A member in good standing with the Teacher Regulation BranchSuccessful teaching and leadership experience, preferably at the elementary school levelDemonstrated leadership in curriculum, instruction, and assessmentDemonstrated expertise in personalized learning in literacy and numeracy and inquiry-based exploration of the curriculumStrong understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of the developing childDemonstrated integration of the First Peoples Principles of Learning and commitment to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation CommissionAbility to meaningfully include all members of the school community to fulfill a commitment to enhancing equity and home/school partnershipsDemonstration of district leadership competencies with particular attention to courage and integrity, relationships, learning and innovation, community and culture, and learning leadership.PLEASE APPLY ON MAKE A FUTUREBoth internal and external applicants are welcome and are asked to apply on the Make a Future website.
