This is an excellent leadership opportunity to contribute to our vision of equitable and inclusive secondary schools and create a co-constructed inquiry-based learning experience for students that recognizes and supports their social and emotional development.We are seeking an exemplary educator who understands and appreciates the diverse needs of secondary school students and has a clear personal commitment to meaningful learning experiences, equitable opportunities, and culturally safe environments. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with students, families, and staff based on sound and supportive instructional leadership practice.QualificationsA Master’s degree in Educational Administration or Curriculum (or in progress)A member in good standing with the Teacher Regulation BranchSuccessful teaching and leadership experience, preferably at the secondary school levelDemonstrated leadership in curriculum, instruction, and assessmentKnowledge of inquiry-based practices that promote deep learning experiencesExperience in developing innovative programs to support the diverse needs of learnersDemonstrated success working with at-risk students and reluctant learnersKnowledge of BC’s Policy for Student SuccessDemonstration of district leadership competencies with particular attention to courage and integrity, relationships, learning and innovation, community and culture, and learning leadership.PLEASE APPLY ON MAKE A FUTUREBoth internal and external applicants are welcome and are asked to apply on the Make a Future website.
