  • Follow up on containers coming from abroad
  • Transmit the appropriate documents to our customs broker
  • After delivery, ensure that the empty container is returned on time and to the correct final destination
  • For containers delivered directly to customers, inform the appropriate people internally by providing proof of delivery so that receipt of goods and invoicing to customers can be done in the system
  • Update the container tracking file that is shared on the network and various reports
  • Inform all relevant departments of the container arrival times by warehouse for the upcoming week
  • Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally
  • Make decisions on which carriers to use and be on the lookout for new carrier opportunities
  • Maintain a summary file of container costs
  • Verify the validity of surcharges on intermodal containers: demurrage , etc.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate
  • College diploma in transportation logistics
  • Experience in transportation logistics, an important asset
  • Perfect command of French and English (oral and written)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Dynamism, autonomy, resourcefulness and organizational skills
  • Interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to make decisions and prioritize tasks
  • Customer-oriented behaviour
  • Ability to manage several activities simultaneously
