Shifts

• *Urgently seeking coverage for:
• A nurse for Sundays 11am-6pm; Fridays 10am-6pm.
• 8-9 hour shifts available, day and overnight shifts available, applicants must be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing, weekly schedule.
• Ideal candidate has flexibility and is able to work day or overnight shifts
• *Applicants must be available for in-person training sessions through our office and SickKids
• Someone who can commit to the set schedule mentioned above with no interruptions to set weekly schedule for the foreseeable future

RequirementsGeneral Duties and Responsibilities:

• This client requires a nurse with a specific set of skills to provide care for the following interventions: PICC line, pain pump management, G-tube (meds), TPN feeds, oxygenation via NPamp; suctioning

• Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs (hygiene assistance, bathing, and medication administration) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse
• Provide exceptional patient care as outlined in their care plans, supporting patients with all applicable medical needs
• Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly
• Assists clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as required
• Observe the patients #39; medical health as well as their physical and mental responses
• Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description
• Completes records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure clients health and well-being
• must be able to commit to a consistent, on-going, weekly schedule

Nursing Requirements: This client requires a nurse with a specific set of skills to provide care for the following interventions: - PICC Line care **experience is a MUST**- G-tubes (feeds and medication) - TPN feeds- IV infusion, meds/narcotics via IV push - DBS for dystonia seizures- oxygenation via NPamp; suctioningOther Requirements:

• An asset if you own a vehicle and have a valid driver #39;s licence (not required)
• Negative TB Test completed within the last year
• CNO Registration
• COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
• Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Valid WHMIS2015 certification from the last year
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
• Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.
• Having previous Paediatric nursing experience is an asset
• Having previous Palliative nursing experience is an asset
