Job Description

The Vicinity Motor (Bus) Corporation (Previously Grande West Transportation Group) is a Canadian bus manufacturer which designs, engineers and manufactures mid-size buses for transit authorities and commercial enterprises. The Vicinity bus is available in a variety of models powered by clean diesel or CNG, designed with affordability, accessibility, and environmental responsibility in mind. Further to this, as a part of the global transition to sustainable transportation, the Vicinity Motor Corporation will be introducing the Vicinity Lightning EV bus, as well as a line of Electric Work Trucks.We are looking for an Administrator to support our sales team.The Administrator is a hands-on position that requires strong communication skills, the ability to work well in a team in a fast- paced environment and a willingness to take ownership of your personal development. This role reports directly to the Sales Manager. Dutiesamp; Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and expand company database of customers and sales prospects.
  • Make introductory phone calls and schedule customer meetings to source new business.
  • Receiving and processing purchase orders.
  • Verifying orders, including customers #39; personal information and payment details.
  • Contacting customers by phone or email to answer queries and obtain missing information.
  • Maintaining and updating sales and customer records.
  • Compiling monthly sales reports.
  • Expediting orders through internal liaison.
  • Directing feedback from customers to relevant departments.
  • Performs research, gathers, compiles and assembles a variety of statistics and information for reports.
  • Reviews all contracts for errors, in completion or incorrect legal business names.
  • Assisting with administrative needs for project launches.
  • Updateamp; maintain production schedule as required.
  • Coordination of trade shows locallyamp; within North America.
  • Supporting the sales department with other administrative tasks, if requested.
Experienceamp; Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years outside sales or sales support in a B2B setting required
  • Experience in marketing preferred
  • Experience with automotive contracts preferred
  • Passionate about inside sales, comfortable in cold-calling, and being able to prospect clients
  • Able to effectively manage multiple customer deals, issues, etc.
  • Passionate about providing a great customer experience
  • Excellent writtenamp; verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Focused and goal-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google sheets, with an aptitude to learn other relevant applications and technical/office equipment
  • Positive, friendly attitude and strong interpersonal skills (teamwork)
  • Self-motivated, punctual and disciplined
  • High School graduation Diploma is key
  • Proactive and ability to flourish with minimal guidance and handle uncertainty with ease
