WAGES:

  • Hourly wage range - $24.00 to $32.00 per hour, plus overtime pay at 1.5 times the regular wage rate for any hours exceeding 40 hours per week or 8 hours per day
  • Compensation offered may vary depending on the applicant’s level of experience, qualifications, and other factors.
  • Afternoon and Night shift premiums.
  • Compensation is subject to annual review and increase based on various factors including inflation, cost of living, merit, and performance.

HOURS OF WORK:
  • Must be able to work shifts which include days, afternoon, and night shifts including weekend coverage.
  • The shift hours are Days 5:50 am – 2 pm, Afternoons, 1:50 pm – 10 pm, Nights 9:50 pm – 6 am.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reporting to the Quality Manager and/or Supervisor, the Quality Process Technician is responsible for verification of the raw material process and start-up, ensuring to run the right product. Responsible for analyzing and mitigating the risk related to the product running on the specific mold to satisfy customers.
  • Audit the infeed to ensure each line has the right raw material with the right proportion.
  • Audit the printing.
  • Analyze the risks when changing mold or insert, evaluate the gravity and frequency, and mitigate accordingly to eliminate risks or bring them to an acceptable level.
  • Perform the First Article Inspection.
  • Audit all workstations to ensure that each line has the right material and configuration, the right alert, and operators are aware of the hazard related.
  • When there is a change that may affect the quality of the product, ensure that the line is clear before allowing it to start.
  • Report non-conformity on Mauser Packaging Solutions Knowledge Management System (MPS-KMS).
  • Participate in maintaining and improving the Quality objectives such as compliance with standards, process control, and product quality.
  • Assist Manager and Quality Control Inspector (QCI) when needed.
WORK EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Demonstrated ability in regard to plastic processing/injection molding and products created
  • Ability to analyze risk based on severity and frequency according to historical database and mitigate
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence – ability to manage stressful situations
  • Ability to work with a high volume of samples and to measure in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability with the following software SAP, SQCPack (Standard Quality Control), Shoplogix, Microsoft Office, and MPS-KMS preferred
  • Must have adequate written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a safety attitude and mindset
  • Must have the ability to pay attention to fine details
EDUCATION:
  • Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a definite asset or hands-on experience in lieu of.
  • Injection molding manufacturing training is an asset
