Job Description

Commissionaires BC is hiring for a security professional to work at a high profile Government site in Langley. Shift time: 4 days on 4 days off, 12 hour shifts (days/nights)Pay Rate: $28.71Due to the nature of the site, security officers are required to obtain a Secret Clearance from the Canadian Government. This is an in depth process and can take up to 6 months to clear. Alternative employment can be offered in the meantime depending on candidate preference/qualifications. Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Ensure safety of staff out in the field
  • Radio operation
  • Run background checks from information provided by field staff
  • Answering phone queries and problem solving
  • First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
  • Following specific emergency and alarm response protocols.
Your Must Haves:
  • Valid BC Security License
  • Have lived in Canada for a minimum of 10 years due to clearance requirements
  • OFA 1 or willing to obtain one
  • Class 5 Drivers License and Personal Vehicle
  • Excellent English oral and written skills
