We are a professional, yet youthful team that shares an entrepreneurial passion and drive to establish long-term relationships with not only our customers, but co-workers as well.Job SummaryThe Logistics Coordinator will work closely with Operations and Engineering to coordinate the inventory of materials, manage material planning and logistics for shipping/receiving.Role Description:

• Plan and coordinate transportation of materials and manage the timely flow of customer orders (finished product).
• Provide and maintain good customer service and solve problems.
• Adhere to shipping/receiving and regulatory-compliance procedures.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and standards.
• Complete documentation such as pick lists, bills of lading, work orders and shipping orders using computer-based technology
• Complete daily shipping and receiving logs
• Dispatch freight for delivery and arrange for pickups
• Record shipment data such as weight, charges, and damages
• Contact carrier representative to plan and issue shipping instructions and delivery of materials.
• Rectify problems such as damages, shortages, and non-conformation to specifications
• Document and escalate any customer service issues and/or shipping/receiving errors
• Assist with training of new employees
• Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross-functionally.
• Assist with cycle counts under the direction of the cycle counter to ensure accurate knowledge of product location, condition, and quality.
• Back up for the Purchaser when required as well as assist Purchaser with locating material to be shipped out.
• First point of contact for all drivers at loading docks.
• Provide direction to the forklift drivers for shipment instructions.

Competencies:

• Prior Logistics/Customer Service experience is preferred
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment an asset
• Expert ability to effectively communicate with individuals/groups from varied backgrounds and skill levels
• Must be proficient with MS Office (especially Excel)
• Task oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $37,500.00-$40,000.00 per yearBenefits:
