This is where you can do your best work.Join us at the intersection of saving and sustaining lives—where your purpose accelerates our mission.We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working Printer to work a temporary full-time assignment with the possibility of extension or permanent status in the future on our Midnight shift (23:00-06:00) at our Alliston facility. Starting wage is Level 3, step 1, plus applicable shift premium.The Printer is responsible for operating the printer to print all viaflex bags before they go to Filling Room and on T Line: Operate printer to print all viaflex bags before they go to sub-assembly.Due to the nature of our business, Baxter follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) which requires our employees to focus on cleanliness and contamination control. Other aspects of GMP that must be observed are no makeup or jewelry in the production areasEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform one or more of the following duties on a rotating basis:

• Position bag assemblies on printing machine and activate printing mechanism.
• Check measurements according to specification.
• Load and thread rolls of foil onto printing machine.
• Adjust roll position as needed to ensure that all data is properly printed on the bag assemblies.
• Do Quality inspections per SOP every 2 hrs.
• Perform Fill Operator duties as required
• Install and remove printing stamps on the printing machine.
• Notify supervisor of any printing machine malfunction. Line clearance inspection as assigned.
• Set-up printers, change batch board to reflect current batch. Clean machine with alcohol solution and towels at end of shift.
• Move printing rolls from filling storage area to printing staging area at start of shift.
• Initial first and last bag for correctness.

Job Requirements

• Successful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested)
• Must pass ergonomic assessment to ensure ability to perform bonafide essential job duties
• Experience doing repetitive tasks
• Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment
• Experience in food or manufacturing industry
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment (experience working in an assembly line setting is preferred)
• Flexibility to weekends
• Demonstrated good attendance in present position
• Demonstrated good performance & good quality in present position
• Demonstrated good attitude, utilizing Baxter’s Shared Commitments
• Operator constantly sitting
• Equipment and tools required are: printer machine, ruler, wrench, screwdriver, allen keys
