Gas and Oil Burner TechnicianQualifications:Two or more years of experience as an HVAC installation, maintenance, or service technician for natural gas, propane or heating oilAbility to communicate clearly in a friendly, personable way with customers and coworkersEPA certifiedValid social security card, driver’s license and a clean driving recordWell groomed, neat appearanceAble to quickly troubleshoot problemsAbility to follow controls/wiring schematicAbility to braze/solder/weldNATE certification a plusDuties:Troubleshoot oil, propane and natural gas HVAC equipment, indoor comfort, energy efficiency, and related problemsPresent findings and options to customers; provide advice and recommendationsProvide customers with information on new equipment when repairs exceed $300 and/or existing equipment exceeds 10 years of ageProvide customers with information and pricing on service agreements, accessories, quality, cost and other comfort improvementsProvide customers with information and pricing on service agreements, accessories, quality, cost and other comfort improvementsComplete approved repairs, improvements, or installations within industry standard times, following proper safety proceduresClean equipment and work area, ensure complete customer satisfaction upon completion of workCompensation and Benefits:200-250 hours of training availableBenefits + pension planClothing / boot allowanceNewer VehicleWork in Sarnia, Chatham, London areasOptional 4 day work weekHayter Group technicians take their vehicles home with them and occasionally report to our shop. Technicians are dispatched from their home and parts are delivered to the job site. The Hayter Group service area is bounded by London, Sarnia and Chatham.
