Job Description

For over 75 years Marden-Wild of Canada Limited has been a leading manufacturer of high-quality fat liquors and unique specialty products used in leather manufacturing. At Marden-Wild of Canada Limited we are committed to the quality of our products, and pride ourselves on working with our customers to develop new products and processes to fit their needs in an ever-increasing range of high-quality products for the leather industry.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Charges ingredients (hazardous and non-hazardous) into mixing or kettle hopper from bags, drums, or totes following formula sheets
  • Adjust equipment, valves, pumps, and controls process equipment
  • Sample products, perform tests, and record data
  • Monitor and optimize the physical and chemical process for several processing units
  • Assist with other essential processes as they pertain to blending, drumming, stocking and cleaning, and retrieving raw materials
  • Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work area
  • Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
  • Ensure safety of fellow employees
  • Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed formula instructions
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out valve and pump operations
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to efficiently communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that all tasks are being completed safely and in a timely manner
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures
  • Comply with all ISO 9001 policies and procedures
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Physically demanding, a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to wear full-face and half-face respirators or other PPE for prolonged periods of time
