Job Description

Eastern Powersports is a full-service powersports, power equipment, and lawn care equipment dealership located in Amherst NS. The brands we carry are industry leaders including Honda, Cub Cadet, & Echo. As we continue to grow we have a need to fill a full time position as a shop assistant and delivery driver to help us continue to provide a high-level of customer support.Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assembly of various types of equipment including ATVs, SxS, motorcycles, power equipment, e-bikes outboard motors, small engines, and lawn care equipment.
  • E-bicycle mechanics
  • Deliveries
  • Assisting mechanics
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Shop and yard maintenance and cleaning
  • Detailing new & used units
  • Changing tires & installing tubes
  • Interacting with customers in a professional manner
Required skills:
  • Basic mechanical skills & knowledge
  • Experience hauling a trailer
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Commitment to a safe workplace

The successful candidate will be required to supply their own basic hand tools that are common to the mechanic trade.40 hours per week Monday to Friday from 8-5 with 1 hour lunch break. Occasional Saturdays from 9-1 and evenings may be required during busy seasons.The management at Eastern Powersports focuses on creating a positive work environment.
