Job Description

GrowLiv Biologicals is a commercial insectary that breeds and sells various beneficial insects to farmers.We are looking for a lab assistant that will be responsible for helping run biocontrol experiments. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with insects and mites and can spend long hours collecting detailed data.Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a research assistant is an asset
  • Undergraduate or Masters in entomology or related field
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism and accountability.
  • Strong analytical skills and research skills.
Duties:
  • Setting up research trials
  • Keeping meticulous records of data: notes, counts, samplings
  • Checking the quality of insects and mite
  • Harvesting and maintaining plants set up for trials
  • Other general duties
