Other shift options may be available as per the terms of the collective agreement.The Janitor is responsible for creating and maintaining the cleanliness of our facilities to the highest level. As this is a large site, this position involves a great amount of walking, moving from rooms to rooms within the site.Your work will include:Maintain cleanliness of camps and surrounding areas by: sweeping, dusting, mopping, scrubbing, washing windows, interior walls and ceilings vents; vacuuming and sanitizing all areas in campWash, scrub, clean, and sanitizing designated kitchen and dining areasWax and stripping floorsConduct site inspectionsRemove snow from hallways, sidewalks, driveways as requiredEnsure health and safety regulations and quality standards are maintainedAssist with checking inventories and cleaning suppliesWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOUEnjoy excellent work-life balance with a 14 days on/14 days off rotation..Whereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing!Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leader.QualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FORYou have knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products and equipmentIdeally, you have related experience in camp setting or hotel/institutional environment; commercial cleaning is considered an assetYou are fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skillsYou are able to stand for a long period of time and lift up to 35 poundsSuccessful candidate MUST obtain a 80% make or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)Additional InformationDexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
