Powered by passionate people, we bring the right teams with the right skills together – offering both experience and regional expertise so companies can operate their day to day, confidently and successfully.Job DescriptionWHAT’S THE JOBReporting to the Regional Vice President, Business Development, Workforce Accommodations Forestry & Energy Services this full time permanent position is responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle including; generating and qualifying leads, determining client needs, presenting a solution, demonstrating a high level of service, closing the sale, growing customer relationships, and preparing company reporting.Responsible for meeting and exceeding established sales targets to increase revenue and profitability of Horizon North product solutions, the Sales Associate, Solution Sales will manage customer relationships from contract execution through delivery to after sales service; and will solicit referrals from these customers, where possible.Your work will include:

  • A true hunter, never happy with status quo, constantly looking for the next deal all the while nurturing lasting relationships that renders a high closing ratio.
  • Work towards exceeding goals and targets related to growth or maintenance of their assigned region, including profitability goals, targets and other agreed upon objectives.
  • Conduct face to face visits, develop prospects and centers of influence regularly, spending over 80% of your time enhancing relationships.
  • Network within targeted associations and industries gathering market intelligence and connections.
  • Lead, in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders, the preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Produce winning strategies for target opportunities including innovative solutions to meet clients requirements.

  • 3+ years in sales and/or business development with a proven successful track record (4+ for intermediate, 8+ for senior).
  • University degree or technical diploma in commerce, business administration, engineering or related field is an asset.
  • Previous sales experience in workforce accommodations is an asset.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be flexible to travel.
  • Excellent communication skills (bilingualism – English and French is required).
  • Proficient in MS Office programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales methodologies.
  • Strong understanding sales process cycles.
  • Exceptional ability to network and establish business relationships.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and sales closing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
