Shannex is recruiting a full time Administrative/Workforce Coordinator to join their team at Parkland Antigonish. Located in the picturesque, historical town of Antigonish, and in partnership with the Sisters of Saint Martha, Parkland Antigonish provides a safe and modern accommodation for members of the Sisters of Saint Martha congregation. Previous experience in scheduling, payroll and human resources administration in a 24/7 environment is an asset, in addition to previous experience working in a unionized environment. You are a supportive and approachable team player, you set an ideal example with your colleagues by being diligent and meticulous with your work. You are eager to show your strong administrative skills, display a high level of proficiency with MS Excel, all while maintaining a positive attitude. You are someone who is dependable and always willing to go the extra mile. If you are also knowledgeable with Great Plains accounting software and have experience working with seniors or in healthcare, that’s just an added bonus!What you will do…Reporting to the Business Manager, the Administrative Coordinator/Workforce Coordinator directs and oversees the operation of the front office and reception services. The Administrative /Workforce Coordinator is responsible for providing direction to all front desk employees. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate resident billing and Accounts Payable records. As a member of the Management Team, you will participate in the planning and supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives. You will work to full scope of practice and will provide a range of services to all employees and managers related to workforce management and administration. This includes timekeeping, staffing & scheduling, payroll processing, benefits & leave administration, on-boarding, and orientation.Our Expectations of You…

  • Provides direction to the Front Desk team
  • Efficiently and effectively manage Front Office resources
  • Maintains accurate resident billing cycle, A/P and A/R
  • Assists in the management of the continuous quality improvement, quality assurance, risk management and audit activities
  • Maintains resident information system and monthly admission, discharges, and transfers
  • Administers HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and Workforce Systems throughout the employee life cycle including system initiation, resignations, terminations, and status changes according to established procedure
  • Allocates and replaces shift vacancies in accordance with collective agreements, Shannex company policies, and established operational guidelines
  • Acts as point of contact for all employee requests for information and additional support on scheduling and payroll issues
  • Must be willing to work shift work including on-call and weekend shifts as necessary;
  • Other related duties as required.
