In this clinical environment, duties include but are not limited to patient scheduling, maintaining confidential documentation, producing excel spreadsheets and reports as required. The Operating Room Booking Officer provides administrative assistant support for the PARNS Access Manager and the OR Manager.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade XII
  • Graduate of a business, office information technology, medical office assistant, secretarial course or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Two (2) years related experience
  • Previous booking experience with Central Booking is an asset
  • Experience with ORM and PARNS preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in report preparation
  • Advanced working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software applications, specifically Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Medical terminology course or equivalent
  • Annually access the training and education on patient, client and personal safety made available by NSHA
  • The successful applicant will have a commitment to the mission and values of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
