Caregiver works on a 1 week on , 1week on call and 1week off. Week on consists of: Monday-Friday 4pm till 8 am plus weekend starting at 4 pm Friday till 8 am Monday.Sleep time in attached apartment is provided with client repositioning twice per night.Duties include all personal care including trach care, usage and maintaining of some equipment,meals, grooming. Occasional off-site appointments are also required. Best suited for an empathetic,caring, outgoing person with personal care experience,who resides in Antigonish,Guysboro or Pictou counties On site training provided with an orientation of at least 1week and a 6 month probationary period.Client is a 36 year old male with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He is fully trached and uses a ventilator and power wheelchair.
