Program Teaching Staff Position -Citizen-led and Asset-Based Approaches to Community Developmentwww.coady.stfx.caThe OpportunityThe Coady Institute at St. Francis Xavier University seeks a uniquely skilled and motivated specialist to join our team of program teaching staff. This new position is being added as we expand our ground-breaking global engagement on citizen-led, asset-based community development (ABCD). The position is a two-year term position with the possibility of renewal, based in Antigonish, NS.Our ideal candidate is committed to building partnerships and supporting leaders and development practitioners who are focused on helping their communities advance social change. This professional will have a mix of demonstrated global community development experience as well as strong teaching or facilitation skills rooted in adult education principles. The candidate we hope to attract values shared leadership and collaboration and brings innovation, energy and dynamism to their work. Among other assets and gifts, the successful candidate will bring their leadership in this field to several project partnerships. The successful candidate will have analytical capacity, research and writing skills to offer to the design and delivery of our curriculum, education programs, and research initiatives. Ideally, this individual will contribute their subject matter expertise to the Institutes work on climate resilience, and/or the health sector and to a growing body of innovative initiatives.
