Job Description

Job title Residence Dining Supervisor - Sodexo Campus STFX University Reports to Residence Dining ManagerDuties and responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job function include but are not limited to the following:

  • Floor Supervision – Working together with staff members ensuring excellent customer service standards is provided while following all Food and Physical Safety standards.
  • Working with the team to create a customer-oriented environment
  • Scheduling as per seniority while following a CBA (shift replacements etc.)
  • Utilizing various computer software programs (MS word, Excel, SMG, Screenly)
  • Assists in the supervision of day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities
  • Onsite coordination of special events
  • Assists in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees
  • Performing clerical and administrative duties, posting/filing, organization of records, creation of signage and information material
  • Cash Handling – completing depositing and running cash reports
  • Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution
Experience and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Hospitality Management or related post-secondary education is an asset
  • Cash handling experience is an asset
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Strong organizational, administrative, time management skills
  • Computer Skills – MS Word, Excel, Email
Working conditionsPosition requires working days, nights, and weekend on a regular basis.Physical requirements Long periods of standing, lifting, and walking is requiredHourly wage - $15-$18Wage is based on candidates working experienceJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $15.00-$18.00 per hourFlexible language requirement:
