Job Description

The UPS Store Antigonish is a new, locally owned retail store focused on printing, shipping, and business services. With an emphasis on one-on-one customer service, The UPS Store is seeking a Sales Associate who will greet customers with a smile and provide efficient and effective service to meet and exceed their expectations. The ideal candidate is hardworking, team-oriented, computer savvy, and willing to learn and grow within the business.Key Responsibilities

  • Take print orders with accuracy, and develop a plan to complete the orders
  • Operate printers, fax machines, binding equipment, and all other office equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner
  • Record sales transactions on POS system and process payments
  • Receive packages and process proper paperwork for courier shipments
  • Accurately receive and sort mail
  • Track shipments
  • Assist in merchandising and general housekeeping of the store
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Retail/sales/customer service experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Quick and accurate typing and data entry
  • Effective verbal and written communications
  • The ability to work self-sufficiently on assigned tasks
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to multitask
  • Interest in graphic design and the print industry considered an asset
  • Previous experience with design programs (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw, Microsoft Publisher, etc.) considered an asset but not required
  • Previous experience operating printing or binding equipment considered an asset but not required
  • Ability to lift 50lbs (with assistance)
  • Available Saturdays
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $13.50-$16.00 per hourSchedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
