Job Description

Precision Home and Office Deliveries (A division of ASL Distribution Limited) is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join the team in our Oakville location to continue our rapid growth and supporting E-commerce Final mile business.Job Responsibilities: We deliver unparalleled service excellence to our customers, and our Operations Supervisors are the first line of leadership in delivering that excellence.

  • Assists the team in booking loads, dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles.
  • Communicate with drivers (both Company and Owner Operators) daily regarding issues, schedules, dispatch instructions, etc.
  • Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize the schedules.
  • Build strong relationships with customers & carriers and the company’s 3PL group.
  • Communicate service issues as required and develop solutions.
  • Assist with sort center activities across a shift and support coordination of staff plans and operating schedules.
  • Support developing and implementing process quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Encourage and strengthen our strong culture of health and safety best practices.
  • Collaborating with partner supervisor and other leaders on the floor. Addressing all safety infractions and escalating where necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred
  • 1-3 years operations experience in a lead/supervisor/management role, required
  • 1-2 years logistics industry experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up-to 50lbs.
  • Staff management, workload planning, objective setting and organizational skills, required
  • Excellent communication skills, required
  • Ability to multitask and assist production team when required.
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Outlook is an asset.
  • Familiarity with multiple web browsers, windows navigation and instant messenger tools.
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $43,989.26-$67,103.30 per yearSchedule:
  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
