Job Description

Company DescriptionPRT operates a network of 19 nurseries plus seed orchards and cold storage facilities in Canada and the United States enabling us to grow all species of high-quality forest seedlings for any region in North America.Job DescriptionPosition Summary:PRT is North America’s largest producer of container-grown forest seedlings. PRT has capacity to grow and sell more than 300 million seedlings annually across its 19 nursery locations, in 4 provinces and 3 states.The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for all duties related to processing timely and accurate non-payroll accounts payable to individuals, and vendors. This includes receiving, verifying and entering vendor invoices and other transactions while supporting the accounting department. Working out of our PRT Armstrong Admin Office, the AP Administrator will greet and assist visitors and provide support with other administrative duties as required.QualificationsWhat you need for this position with PRT!Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Upbeat, positive attitude providing first class customer service to both internal and external parties
  • A minimum of one year experience in an office environment
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and organization skills
  • Demonstrated experience working under pressure with tight deadlines in a confidential setting
  • Ability to communicate tactfully, efficiently and effectively with all levels of staff and external parties, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility, ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, proactive and self-motivated
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
