Company DescriptionPRT operates a diverse network of 19 nurseries in Canada and the United States enabling us to grow a wide variety of high-quality container forest seedlings for all climatic and site conditions. Annual production of 320 million seedlings makes PRT the largest producer of containerized forest seedlings in North America. We produce trees for customers from British Columbia to Ontario and Michigan to Alabama.Job DescriptionHRIS Implementation Specialist12 month termRemote: Alberta or British ColumbiaPosition Summary:The HRIS Implementation Specialist, reporting to the HRIS & People Compliance Manager is responsible for assisting with the migration of the current on-premise HRIS platform, to a cloud-based platform, as well as supporting the implementation of new modules across multiple systems.Key Responsibilities:The HRIS Implementation Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist with implementation, which includes configuration, training, testing, applying system enhancements and ultimate deployment.
  • Participate in system testing, and application of system/process enhancements.
  • Perform data audits, to ensure implementation is capturing all relevant data in new system.
  • Assist subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
  • Understand system requirements and ensure implementation is progressing to align with HRIS, Payroll, and legal requirements.
  • Identify and communicate process efficiencies between core system requirements and available system functionality.
  • Provide learning support to the Payroll and HR teams, employees, and site managers.
  • Assist in modifying the system interface, where applicable, to enhance user experience(s).
  • Other related duties, as assigned.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Experience as a systems administrator implementing, configuring, and optimizing HR systems.
  • Comprehends the basics of HRIS systems configuration; experience with Avanti and/or ADP WFN considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of payroll and HR principles and legislation.
  • Excellent skills in analytics, organization and mathematical ability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent people skills and proven ability to work effectively on both an independent basis and in a team environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
