The Food Service Manager is responsible for financial reporting, invoicing, menu planning and distribution, food preparation, marketing, communication, service, ordering and receiving, safety, and staff scheduling.The successful FS Manager performs optimally in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast paced environment. The FS Manager shows initiative while working and is willing to work within the mission and values of the South Shore School Food Project. They will have the ability to use sound judgement, have problem-solving skills, and a solution-based attitude. The FS manager will have daily interactions with children of various backgrounds. They will be friendly, positive and maintain confidentiality. The FS Manager will be committed to promoting healthy eating, food equity and local, minimally processed foods in the school cafeteria.
