Job Description

Are you a highly skilled, financial expert Do you have experience in financial analysis, budget management, strategic planning, forecasting and financial reporting We are seeking an accounting professional for the position of Controller to oversee our financial operations to work out of our Avonlea, Saskatchewan location.For you to be an effective Controller you:

  • Have strong accounting and business acumen understanding financial concepts such as budgets, financial statements, ratios, cash flow, Return on Investment (ROI), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), and Net Operating Return on Assets (NORA)
  • Communicate effectively with the ability to translate complex financial information
  • Adapt to a variety of personalities and have exceptional interpersonal skills since you lead a team and liaise with all departments, senior leaders, owners and third parties
  • Think strategically with strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, and impeccable ethics
  • Influence, motivate, and empower staff to work towards a common goal and achieve greatness.
For you to be selected for an interview you have:
  • 5+ years experience managing and analyzing all accounting and financial activities at a senior level to provide recommendations and implement improvements
  • A degree in accounting but will consider the equivalent in experience. The CPA designation is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Payroll experience, Payworks preferred, and knowledge of Employment Standards
  • Familiarity with an agriculture dealership
  • Willing to live within a 90 km radius of Avonlea, Saskatchewan
