Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Demand Planner will be responsible for ensuring that the assigned categories inventory levels meet customer demand while minimizing costs. This role involves analyzing sales data, developing forecasts, and working closely with various teams, including sales and supply chain, to align on sales insights and inventory plans. The Demand Planner will play a critical role in improving forecast accuracy, optimizing inventory levels, and driving business success. Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Planning:

  • Create and maintain accurate forecasted inventory plans to ensure optimal stock levels, avoiding both stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Establish minimum-maximum inventory, inventory turns, service level and overstock targets to meet corporate standards in all Techo-Bloc distribution centersamp; establish a production capacity plan, including production hours and product mix by plant.
  • Analyze inventory turnover rates and make recommendations to adjust procurement, production, or sales strategies as necessary.
  • Develop strategies to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
Forecasting and Demand Planning:
  • Create and maintain 12-month “Category” calendar based on both Techo-Bloc needs, release periods and historical sales volume as well as Vendor capabilities output and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns.
  • Ability to recommend forecasts for new products with minimal or no existing processes, and to develop standardized procedures for future use.
Analysis, Reporting and Recommendations:
  • Weekly category performance including sales, liquidation and inventory level by SKU and site
  • Data maintenance and cleaning.
  • Present and align actionable recommendations with the sales team, operations, and senior management to drive decision-making and process improvements.
  • Contribute to the monthly Sales and Operations Plan (S amp;OP) with other company leaders and executives to align sales objectives, establish sales strategies and identify external variables that will impact forecasts.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Analyze variances between actual sales and forecasts (forecast accuracy) to understand the variables affecting demand and to be able to explain them at monthly S amp;OP meetings.
  • Regularly review and improve demand planning processes to enhance efficiency and forecast accuracy.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices in demand forecasting and inventory management.
