Job Description

What will be your daily pursuit:The Accounts Receivable Supervisor has primary oversight over all credit and collections activity for Pursuit’s global activities. This includes maintaining strong and positive relationships with customers in multiple countries, proactively monitoring receivables activity, and ensuring consistent dialog with AR customers.The ideal candidate has a strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles and practices and understands relationship between financial information and cash flows related to receivables. The ability to assess credit worthiness and risk and to make recommendations as to credit requires a confidence in decision-making abilities.Pursuit is a dynamic and growing organization. The AR Supervisor will be a critical player within the shared services accounting function. A successful candidate will be a proven self-starter who works independently and takes initiative over the entire credit and collection process. The ability to foster healthy relationships with organizational peers as well as external customers will be critical to the success of this role. Moreover, the ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm and passion for the overall success of the organization and the team.Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 per year plus benefitsWhat will you do in this job:

  • Provide oversight of aging receivables to ensure consistent contact with customers and appropriate prioritization of receivables management
  • Supervise and lead a team of 3-5 AR Accountants providing mentoring, guidance, and oversight of work performed
  • Report on monthly and weekly status of receivables and collection efforts
  • Make recommendations and approval of credit requests
  • Complete month-end journal entries and reconciliations related to receivables activity
  • Partner with sales to ensure cohesive approach to credit and receivables
  • Provide support for special projects and perform other duties as assigned
  • Escalate potential collections issues in a timely matter
  • Develop relationships and credibility with key internal and external financial constituencies including accounting managers and customers.
  • Complete assignments in an environment of intellectual curiosity, problem solving, accuracy and efficiency
What skills and experience do you need for this job:Ideal Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, or equivalent Accounts Receivable experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of credit and collections experience with progressively higher levels of accountability required Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required
  • Solid oral and written communication skills required
  • Strong computer/systems experience and skills; adept at working with Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience using Great Plains/Dynamics 365 is a plus
