We are in the business of Best Day Evers!POSITION OVERVIEW: As the Assistant Hospitality Operations Manager you will be an integral part of the management team. You will share the responsibility for the Heather Mountain Lodge team and property. This role will enable you to connect all areas of the business and act in a developing role to further the success of the overall operation. • Lead, Manage, Accountability (LMA)
• Hospitality Operations
• Develop & Coordinate BDEOs (Best Day Event Order) for all (guest & employee) Events/Experiences
• BDE Guest Experiences (process)
• BDE Staffing, Recruiting & Experiences (liaison)
• Coordinate BDE Retail & Memorabilia

You will be required to work onsite at Heather Mountain Lodge 3 days a week and in our Golden town based Office 2 days a week.RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS INCLUDE (3 DAYS A WEEK AT LODGE):

• You will be a key member of the hospitality team who is responsible and accountable for leading the day to day hospitality operations.
• Provide leadership and management to the onsite team.
• You will work on the business, providing clear direction and acting with the greater good in mind.
• You will work in the business, providing clear expectations, communication and doing.
• Help maintain the right meeting pulse.
• Act as a main point of contact and host for guests while embodying our Best Day Ever purpose.
• Oversee customer service processes and empower employees to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Train seasonal teams to Recognize, Celebrate & Capture Personalized BDEs, ie. Heli-Skiing, Hiking & wedding celebration; BDE collection & recording incl. guest preference dossiers.
• Assist operation managers in scheduling employees and adjusting scheduling during the operating season.
• Liaison with employees to make their seasonal experience at HML the best.
• You will work with the General Operations Manager (GM) and on the GMs days off be responsible for overseeing the Hospitality Operations including: Building, leading and managing the hospitality operations team to meet revenue, operation goals, providing direction, feedback, and ongoing coaching to develop employees.
• Ongoing review and updating of hospitality operation processes and results.
• Collaborate to develop operating strategies to increase revenue and yield.
• Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS INCLUDE (2 DAYS PER WEEK AT OFFICE):

• BDE Staffing, Recruiting & Experiences - Candidate Screening & Employee Experience liaison.
• You will work with the General Operations Manager: Develop & coordinate BDEOs (Best Day Event Order) for all Events and Experiences for both guests & employees.
• Point of Contact for weddings & special events ie. hiking packages & liaison execution in collaboration with Operations.
• Coordinate BDE Retail & Memorabilia - work with suppliers to establish long term relationships.
• Coordinate hospitality procurement processes and organize material and resources allocation while managing relationships/agreements with external partners/ vendors.
• Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University Degree or College Diploma in hotel management, tourism, or business (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience with hospitality operations and client management in the ski/ride, bike/hike, resort, hospitality, hotels or tourism industry (preferred).
• Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is preferred as you are expected to execute your role using the EOS process.
• Incredible customer service ethic.
• Experience with luxury brands is considered an asset.
• Attention to detail, self starter, proactive approach to projects and problem solving.
• Proficiency with PMS (Opera Cloud), POS (Simphony), SalesForce, Google Drive, Monday.com and advanced computer functionality are an asset.
• Flexibility with days and hours of work, based on business needs.
• Regular Travel to, and Part Time Living at Heather Mountain Lodge.

• Starting at $55,000, negotiable based on experience
• Equal Share of Tip Pool
• Part time accommodations and 3 Meals per day provided at lodge (3 days per week) during regular operating seasons. Housing is a shared room with 1 other employee and shared washroom with up to 4 employees.
