A Bartender at Fairmont Banff Springs is responsible for the development and creation of all specialty drinks. Our Bartenders take pride in each drink that leaves their bar; with a critical eye for detail, extensive beverage knowledge, and a flare for showmanship, the bartender provides a libation experience, unparalleled.Successful candidates will be matched to one of the following restaurants based upon experience:Rundle Bar/Lookout PatioVermillion RoomFor more information on each Fairmont Banff Springs restaurant please click here.What is in it for you:Subsidized staff housing for full time statusDuty meal in our newly renovated staff cafeteriaEmployee Travel ProgramComprehensive Wellness Platform (LifeWorks)Discounts on food & beverage/fitness centre/spa/golfOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Banff Springs and over 5,000 properties with AccorWhat you will be doing:Complete Daily Operations (i.e. opening and closing duties, stocking, polishing, cleaning and maintaining bar area, walk-ins, fridges and other areas as assigned by the MOD)Maintaining and developing an extensive product knowledge of menu items, beverage offerings and outlet operations; extensive knowledge of classic cocktails and ability to learn outlet specific beverages including a variety of barista drinks (e.g. cappuccinos, lattes, hot chocolates, etc)Meet and greet guests and coordinate with other colleagues and MOD regarding preferences, allergies and special occasionsOrdering and monitoring inventory (i.e. daily orders, managing par levels, recording wastage/spillage/transfers, monthly inventory counts)Maintain accurate billing, cash handling and float proceduresOther duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:Must have 2+ years professional cocktail experience as a bartender in a high-volume and fast paced environmentMust have Pro-Serve CertificationPrevious point-of-sale system experience essentialExtensive knowledge of wine, beer and spirits requiredSchedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidaysMust be able to lift and carry up to 80+lbs (keg) and be able to constantly stand and walk throughout shiftYour team and working environment:Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotelClose proximity to multiple ski resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summerHospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connectionsVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
