Job Description

The Destinations Support Assistant reports to the Director, Destinations – Canada and is a centralized support for Destinations in Canada. The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative assistance and logistics coordination to the station operations in Vancouver, Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper.Key Areas of Accountability:Responsible for inventory control and administrative support to the various RM stations.

  • Centralized lead for administrative tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Ordering and distributing all luggage tags and uniforms
    • Preparing Tour Group tag assignment, acting as a contact for tour group representatives
    • Inventory management and ordering (collateral, stationary, station supplies)
    • Assisting with station scheduling
    • Guest Experience invoicing support
    • Managing lost and found items
  • Assist with travel planning and reservations for team member travel.
  • Provide administrative support to Director, Destinations - Canada
  • Other tasks and projects as required to support the station and guest experience teams or to enhance the experience for guests.
  • Support irregular operations as directed by the station management team
  • Be the point person to manage INK check-in usage, devices, training, enhancements, troubleshooting, working alongside Canadian team members responsible for INK.
Assist with projects and future planning with Station Manager team.
  • Schedule team meetings
  • Provide suggestions for operational improvements to increase efficiency and improve guest experience.
  • Create reports and collect data for Station Manager team to help create more efficient operations.
  • Provide service for special guest requirements as directed; and other duties as assigned to ensure effective station management.
Adhere to RM’s safety and security standards so that safety hazards and concerns are mitigated/reduced for RM guests, team members, and partners.
  • Compliance with all safety and security regulations.
  • Execute destinations safety and emergency response procedures and instructions.
  • Works with a safety-first mindset and encourages other to build a culture of safety at RM.
Qualifications:Experience
  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a coordinator role
Skills
  • High degree of proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong time management and administrative skills
  • Ability to multitask, take initiative, self-starter,
  • Energetic, motivated, hardworking and committed to guest service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Environment
  • Banff based, 9am – 5pm (days and hours may vary); required to work periodic weekends and statutory holidays
  • Able to travel away from home base for up to 3 days at a time
Eligibility
  • Must be legally allowed to work in Canada for the duration of the operating season (April – mid-October)
