The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager- Fairmont Gold Lounge will ensure that employees provide phenomenal guest experiences resulting in lasting memories. They will lead, develop and coach a team of professional employees to enhance the level of service and meet standards. The F&B portion of the Fairmont Gold Lounge falls under the Room Service Team.Food & Beverage Overview: Our mission is to make Food & Beverage the heart and soul of all of our hotels by creating a free standing food & beverage mentality in our hotels that is relevant, profitable and exciting; connecting us, our guests, and the community together.What is in it for you:Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time statusCompetitive extended benefits package including medical, vision and dental for full time permanent statusDuty meal in our newly renovated staff cafeteriaEmployee Travel ProgramComprehensive Wellness Platform (LifeWorks)Discounts on food & beverage/fitness centre/spa/golfOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Banff Springs and over 5,000 properties with AccorWhat you will be doing:Provide on-the-floor supervision and support to employees and coach and develop them to ensure Fairmont gold standards are being maintainedWork hand in hand with the Fairmont Gold Manager to ensure the food and berage service provided is alligned with the front office servicesBe involved with ongoing menu/wine/cocktail development for the Fairmont Gold Lounge in order to increase sales and provide elevated service to guestsHave a good understanding of day-to-day expectations, tasks and operations as well as forethought to upcoming eventsReview guest comments, respond to any concerns in a timely and professional fashionUnderstand both the In-Room Dining financial goals and the Fairmont Gold offerings when it comes to F&BHandle guest concerns, reacting quickly and professionallyEnsure that service essentials, steps of service and brand standards are being followed by the teamCoach and train the in-room dining team and key members to provide a level of service based on Fairmont Gold standardsOther duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:Must have 1 year previous experience as a Leader in Food & Beverage; preferably in upscale environment. airlines VIP lounge or executive lounge experience will be considered an assetMust have pro-serve certification and POS system experienceWine knowledge at or above WSET Level 2 an assetDiploma or Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration an assetA passion for food & wineSchedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidaysMust be able to lift and carry up to 20+lbs and able to constantly stand and walk throughout shiftYour team and working environment:Upscale, luxury hotelClose proximity to multiple ski resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summerHospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connectionsVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
