Job Description

The Food & Beverage Office Manager will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the Food & Beverage Office and Department, while adhering to the standards required by the department and hotel.Our mission is to make Food & Beverage the heart and soul of all of our hotels by creating a free standing food & beverage mentality in our hotels that is relevant, profitable and exciting; connecting us, our guests, and the community together.What is in it for you:Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time statusDuty meal in our newly renovated staff cafeteriaEmployee Travel ProgramComprehensive Wellness Platform (LifeWorks)Discounts on food & beverage/fitness centre/spa/golfOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Banff Springs and over 5,000 properties with AccorWhat you will be doing:Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly serviceProvides administrative assistance to the Director of Food and Beverage and Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the food and beverage divisionIs responsible for collating the daily figures for the daily operations meetingsIs responsible for tracking RPS scores and follow up with guestsIs responsible for SAQ auditing (accounting)Maintains an up to date folder for weekly forecasts, operating hours and group resumesAnswers all Food and Beverage office incoming telephone calls (including the Director of F&B external calls) and ensures prompt delivery or action of messages and enquiriesKeeps the F&B management contact list updated and distributes accordinglyIs responsible for internal and external mail for the Food and Beverage officeMaintains an effective, efficient and up-to-date filing system inclusive of F&B keysMinutes the weekly Food & Beverage meetings and transcribes the minutes for circulation accordinglyResponsible for the ordering and maintenance of all stationary suppliesTo process all non food/beverage Purchase Orders for products, supplies and licenses within the Food & Beverage departmentEnsures proper invoice routing and generates cheque requests for applicable vendors and distributeIs responsible for the overall cleanliness, organization and maintenance of the food & beverage officeCoordinate all internal maintenance and external service contracts with third party contractors/service providers as they relate to the Food & Beverages departmentsCoordinates and tracks all gift certificates for the Food and Beverage divisionLiaises with F&B managers & Chef’s for Food & Beverage menu updates and maintenance; development, design, editing and printing of menus and specialsEnsures a smooth roll out of all menu changesChampion of Attendance Enterprise (hotel payroll system) for the Food & Beverage department. Responsible for the daily maintenance and bi-weekly submission of the Food & Beverage departmental payroll, including gratuities, Statutory Holidays and Annual VacationMaintains the Food & Beverage management vacation calendar & binder for approved time off requestsMaintains Food & Beverage colleague status by assisting F&B managers with necessary paperworkSupport Food & Beverage team in absence of leadersSupport with Open Table reservations and System configurationAct as a member of Health and Safety committeeDevelop and maintain close and effective working relationship with all supporting departments.Assist guests and colleagues with any special requests they may haveMaintains the strictest confidentiality at all times on all matters pertaining to management, staff and any associated food and beverage mattersPerform other duties as directed by the Director of Food and Beverage or Hotel ManagementOther duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:High School diplomaPrevious experience in a hotel and a Food & Beverage environment essentialPrevious experience in an administrative role essentialDetail oriented with excellent communication and organizational skillsCreative, self-motivated and energetic team-player able to perform under pressureMaster in computer literacy, Office, Adobe, Menu designKnowledge of SILVERWAREKnowledge of Fairmont Hotels Birchstreet, Attendance Enterprise, OpenTable, Property Manager & NetVu Point all assets , Sales and CateringYour team and working environment:Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotelClose proximity to multiple ski resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summerHospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connectionsVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
