Job Description

The Golf Retail Associate is responsible for providing a high level of guest service for our members, colleagues and guests visiting the Golf Shop, whilst also ensuring that retail profits are maximized through the use of effective sales techniques. We are looking for a polished and professional candidate who is motivated to drive sales and utilizes their strong customer service skills to make quick and creative decisions in a fast-paced environment.What is in it for you:

What you will be doing:Reporting to the Golf Operations Manager and Retail Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Providing a seamless tee time check in experience for guests, tours, groups and members as well as assisting Golf Reservations with booking and modifying reservations and answering telephone and email enquiries.
  • Maximizing retail profits through the use of effective merchandise placements and inventory controls, as well as product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Accurately processing merchandise charges through our point of sale system, as well as taking accountability for ensuring adherence to accounting, credit card, cash and account charges policies in place.
  • Ensuring the golf shop is clean, fully stocked and organized at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Your experience and skills include:
  • Class 5 Drivers License and updated drivers abstract
  • Proficient computer skills (reservation and POS systems)
  • Able to work flexible hours (early morning, evening and occasional split shifts)
  • Ability to deal with high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated and guest driven with a passion to continually exceed expectations and anticipate needs
  • Demonstrable experience in providing world class customer service
  • Previous retail and/or merchandising experience is an asset
  • Interest in becoming or have already entered the CPGA Apprentice or Candidate program is an asset
