In this role as Transit Heavy Equipment Technician, you have sound experience with in-the-pit servicing. This position requires an Alberta-journeyman (or equivalent red seal) and CVIP certification (or ability to acquire this certification within probation) who will take pride in ensuring our regional ROAM transit bus fleet operates without interruption.You enjoy applying your skills and experience to these buses and have energy and enthusiasm to keep pace in a busy and varied workplace. Your physical and mental agility are suited to an environment where new equipment, diagnostic ability and attention to detail and precision are put to work every day. You are dedicated to delivering service and recognize your customer can be any member of the Town of Banff team, an external supplier or an associated agency.The Town of Banff fleet team is committed to working collaboratively and independently to prioritize and keep everyone moving. Your contributions in this position reflect your professional standing and commitment to your coworkers, as well as, to the experience of Banff’s residents and visitors. In addition to the certifications required, you have a valid Alberta Class 3Q license, experience in equipment and vehicle repair and maintenance, knowledge of workplace safety programs and can produce a clear drivers abstract and criminal background check.This position is based on 40 hours per week with varied schedules including weekend shifts, on –call services and is eligible for group plan health and retirement benefits in addition to non-traditional employee benefits.
