This role exists to support the needs of the Room Attendants, guest calls, and linen sorting as well as supporting the public areas of the hotel.This position you will be scheduled for a variety of shifts varying from mornings, afternoons and evenings.Rate of Pay: Starting at $16.32 per hour. This will include but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, trash and recycling removal, stocking and organizingSupport Room Attendants by removing dirty linen from vacant guest roomsResponsible for stocking linens and guest supplies in appropriate places and to appropriate par levels (this task supports and assists the Room Attendants)Sorting dirty linen ready for export to laundry servicesResponsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the guest corridors and public spaces. This will include but not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, polishing, damp dusting, elevator track cleaning, cleaning public washrooms, brass polishing and trash removal.Responsible cleaning dirty glassware from guestrooms and restocking clean glassware in appropriate places and to appropriate par levelsLoad and unload the glass machines and put all items away in the correct placeAll other duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an assetAbility to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcomingMust be able to make decisions individually and show problem solving abilityAble to work well independently with little supervisionExcellent communication and follow-up skillsExcellent organizational skills and time managementPhysically fit as you will be standing and walking throughout shiftAbility to work well under pressureAble to push and pull large laundry bins weighing up to 1000 lbsAble to lift up to 50 lbsAble to bend and kneel with comfortBending, kneeling, reaching above and below shoulder height, standing, walking and climbing a ladder to a maximum of 10ftYour team and working environment:Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotelClose proximity to multiple ski resorts and hiking trails in the summerHospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connectionsVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
