Job Description

It is our mandate to promote from within and facilitate both personal and professional growth and development.ScopeTo exceed guests expectations while providing them with a memorable dining experience in our Larkspur Lounge. This position is to perfect skills and knowledge of our lounge, and to learn and perform some server and bartender duties.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon entry, assign tables, and collect any pertinent information
  • Support team members with service, table maintenance, and table re-setting
  • Quality-check food from kitchen, ensure order is complete, and deliver to guests
  • Polish glassware and keep glass drop area clear
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked bar, server work area, and back spaces throughout each shift
  • Assist bartenders and servers as required
  • Learn and perform light bartender duties
  • Answer questions regarding restaurant menus, hotel facilities, and the Bow Valley area
  • Follow Health & Safety program and procedures
  • Other related duties as assigned
Physical Demands
  • Requires constant standing, walking and going up and down stairs
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 11 pounds / 5 kg
  • Frequent reaching above and below shoulder height
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 22 pounds / 10 kg
  • Occasional bending
Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Alberta ProServe Certification
  • Able to meet physical demands of the position
  • Customer service oriented
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Comfortable using a POS machine and handling cash
