Position Overview: Are you looking for a great job and a great seasonal lifestyle Do you like being in Nature Would you like to work for the best kept secret resort in the Rocky Mountains If you share a passion for excellence then learn more about the employment opportunities at David Thompson Resort where we work hard...and play harder.The Line Cook/Prep Cook is responsible for preparing a multitude of hot and cold meals for sale and service to customers of the restaurant and hotel. This includes both internal and external customers alike during a prescribed shift. The line cook is required to take all necessary precautions to protect and ensure that safe work practices are adhered to. This position requires frequent standing and walking as well as lengthy periods of concentration when preparing customer orders.Job Skills, Duties & Requirements:

  • Ability to work and thrive in a team-oriented environment and be able to function in both a team and independent environment.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with high volume and fast paced , multi-tasking environment.
  • Capable for Standing for long periods of time
  • Strong knife skills an asset
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to read food bills
  • Timely execution of food preparation
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Food safety course an asset (can also be obtained while working at resort)
  • Prior experience of cooking for large groups (we feed all staff 3 meals per day).
  • Prepare food in accordance with food safety
  • Additional tasks as assigned by senior management
Job Types: Full-time, SeasonalSalary: $15.00-$17.00 per hourAdditional pay:
