Job Description

SEASONAL POSITION. FULL TIME or PART TIMEJohnston Canyon Lodge & Bungalows is a boutique resort located in Banff AB. Our pristine location in the Rocky Mountains allow for plenty of wildlife sightings and recreational activities like hiking, rafting, and biking.The Johnston Canyon Lodge & Bungalows are looking to hire a talented and creative Sous Chef who is able to elevate the dining experience at our BlackSwift Bistro restaurant.COOK JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Set up workstations with all mise en place and required preparation
  • Has a passion for working in the culinary field
  • Execute menu specials and ensure food quality
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, butchering meat etc.)
  • Able to use various kitchen appliances and tools
  • Check food while cooking to stir or turn
  • Ensure great presentation by garnishing dishes before they are served
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • Check quality of ingredients
  • Keep the cooking area clean & hygienic
