Purchaser, Electrical parts and supplies - Jobs in Banff, AB

Responsibilities:

Purchasing and/or taking material orders from electricians.
Purchasing and/or taking material orders over the phone, or email from our customers
Shipping and receiving
You will be required to Identify cost trends between suppliers, and be able to purchase with economy, with different suppliers for similar material.
You will be familiar with online purchasing, through major and minor online retail outlets from around the world.
You will be required to learn the process of software based ordering, shipping and receiving.
You will be required to cover for the shipping receiving personnel as required.
You will be required to communicate with customers through phone calls.
This job requires an early start of 6.45 am, and is generally complete by 2pm

Education/experience:

qualification as electrician or prior electrical parts experience is preferred but not required.
experience in gathering orders and compiling purchase orders within a software program.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commercial mindset.
Strong command of the English language with an ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
good organizational skills; sound thinking, planning, prioritization skills.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude with an aptitude for team building.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with others within the company and our business partners.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
