The Rooms Operations Administrator will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the Rooms Division, while adhering to the standards required by the department and hotel.What is in it for you:Subsidized staff housing for full time statusDuty meal in our newly renovated staff cafeteriaEmployee Travel ProgramComprehensive Wellness Platform (LifeWorks)Discounts on food & beverage/fitness centre/spa/golfOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Banff Springs and over 5,000 properties with AccorWhat you will be doing:Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly serviceProvides administrative assistance to the Director of Rooms to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the rooms divisionIs responsible for collating the daily figures for the daily operations meetings, including tracking guest feedback and reviewing trends.Respond to guest feedback and complete route cause analysisIs responsible for departmental purchasing / sourcing outside of housekeeping inventoryIs responsible for reviewing and auditing internal financial procedures (SAQ)Provides coordination between departments for pre-arrival guest communication & other internal/external guest communicationMinutes the weekly Rooms Division meetings and transcribes the minutes for circulation accordinglyAct as an ambassador for ALLSafe program and ensures rooms division & hotel is satisfying all required objectives.ALL Loyalty program champion – ensuring effective communication out to appropriate departments.Coordinate external service contracts with third party contractors/service providers as they relate to the Rooms DivisionAct as a member of Health and Safety committee – support the division in completing quarterly H&S tasksSupport rooms team in absence of leadersesponsible for providing Visionline access to heartistsConduct monthly audits of upsell programMonitor and review house accountsDevelop and maintain close and effective working relationship with supporting departments.Seek opportunities to improve systems and proceduresMaintains the strictest confidentiality at all times on all matters pertaining to management, staff and any associated rooms related mattersOther duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:Previous experience in a hotel and Rooms Division essentialPrevious experience in an administrative role an assetDetail oriented with excellent communication and organizational skillsCreative, self-motivated and energetic team-player able to perform under pressureKnowledge of Opera, Visionline, Royal Service Manager assetExperience in computer programs such as Microsoft office, Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel, Power point, Property Manager, etc. an asset.Proficient in the English language (verbal & written),Must display strong communication, analytical, organizational and administrative skills to be able to deal with multiple priorities simultaneouslyHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a teamYour team and working environment:Fast-paced, upscale, luxury hotelClose proximity to multiple ski resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summerHospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connectionsVisa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
