Job Description

What will be your daily pursuit:We are looking for an energetic and organized Sales & Event Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will support our Sales Managers and Group Event Planners with planning, coordinating, and executing events. No day is same in this busy and fun environment working in Banff. The expected start date of March 1 and end date of October 31 for this seasonal role and reporting to Lead Group Event Planner.What perks can you expect:We wake every day to greet glaciers, mountain peaks and turquoise lakes. What will you do in this job:
  • Provide on-site assistance with groups and events including set up & coordination and overseeing execution and tear down as required
  • Support Sales Managers and Group Event Planners by preparing of contracts, invoices, banquet event orders, quotes, booking venues, attraction tickets, hotel rooms etc.
  • Assist with data entry, input, and migration into booking systems
  • Administration task can include but not limited to updating group documents, menu creation, organizing materials, floorplans, and feedback
  • Assist with coordination of booking FAM trips, site inspections, and internal events
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
What skills and experience do you need for this job:
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, quick learner who enjoys a fast-paced work environment
  • A high level of customer service and experience in guest services
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to see multiple projects and tasks through to completion on a timely basis
  • Comfortable speaking in public and to groups of various sizes
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as timing as event support can vary (some evenings and weekends may be required)
  • Alberta Class 5 driving license or equivalent
  • Detail-oriented, with strong administration and organization skills
  • Computer literate, comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite of products in a Windows environment
  • Adobe InDesign or graphic experience an asset but not required
